The role of our Human Resource Management (HRM) is essentially that of 'leadership development'. Besides being an 'employee advocate' and a 'change and transformation counselor', our HRM is constantly involved in:

  1. Ensuring that all business divisions have optimum quantity and quality of human resources capable to compete and grow in all areas of our diversified business activities.
  2. Striving to provide constant opportunities for training and development to our employees, facilitating their personal and professional growth.
  3. Working in complete harmony with our employees to understand their hopes and aspirations. HRM initiates proactive measures to facilitate the fulfillment of these aspirations through employee friendly policies like 'promotions from within', ongoing career development and cross-functional mobility.
  4. Practically demonstrating a sincere commitment to the self-respect and dignity of our employees. This, in turn, motivates them to achieve the highest levels of performance with dedication and loyalty.

In a nutshell, we do not measure the overall effectiveness of Human Resource Management by administrative efficiency alone. We measure HR success by the ability to influence the line management in operating with a set of values and beliefs compatible with our Corporate Vision. HR is not looked at as a 'staff or support specialist' but as a 'business partner' with the multi-disciplinary Strategic Business Units of the Group.
