With extensive growth in Value Added Services, stakeholders are
responsible for working together and creating a self-sustaining eco-system to support Jaffer Telekom’s growth. They also
believe that pure entertainment services will
continue to appeal to the younger consumers, and
overall focus of Mobile VAS will
undergo a paradigm shift to Utility Based Services
like location based information and Mobile Commerce.
The growth of eCommerce will also have a positive effect on mCommerce because users
will be familiar and comfortable with online transactions. Low value transactions
perceived now shall rise exponentially with an increase in popularity, thus leading
to an exponential
rise in "revenue" generated from these services.
Value Added Services seem to be the next avenue for growth. Jaffers have established
a Telecom division, which is popularly known as Jaffer Telekom. It aims to
spread "VAS" services evenly across the demographic profiles of the customer by
focusing on Entertainment, Utility Services and the mCommerce segment.

in messaging, paving way for a host of services viz. mobile commerce using SMS Money
Transfer, IMS IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) to deal with convergence and enable

and off-net advance messaging viz. divert, copy, out-of-office to address segmented subscribers of appropriate
services, content control services to stop un-solicited messages, video suit for
3G services, monetizing revenue streams with mobile advertisements
across various
channels viz. mobile/fixed, internet, TV along with the Dynamic Live Auctioning System,
Content Management Solution to support user generated content,
full track music downloads with additional features like music recognition from any source, revenue reconciliation via a Real Time Charging System and a Management Information System
as operational support nodes to data services.
Mobile Operators who demand to bring down "operational" expenditure shall be met by innovative commercial models such as deferred payments, revenue share, hosted
services, pay as you Grow to assist them in the business forecast/plans.
